Indoor Sauna Kits
More to it.
How to Choose?
The right indoor sauna kit depends on how you plan to use it and what kind of experience you’re looking to create. If your priority is simplicity and value, a well-built knotty wood, single-wall unit can perform well and install quickly. If you’re focused on aesthetics, long-term durability, and a more refined feel, stepping up to clear-grade materials and insulated panel construction can make a noticeable difference.
Bring Comfort Inside
Indoor sauna kits offer a wide range of options in both design and construction quality, making it important to choose a unit that aligns with your expectations for performance, appearance, and longevity. At a basic level, many kits are built using knotty wood, which provides a more rustic look and helps keep costs down. Higher-end models often use clear-grade lumber, offering a more refined, consistent appearance with fewer visual imperfections.
Lighting and interior details can also vary significantly. Some kits feature simple, functional lighting, while others incorporate more advanced systems—such as indirect LED lighting, backrests, and design-forward elements—that enhance both the atmosphere and overall experience.
One of the most important differences is how the sauna is constructed. Many entry-level kits use single-wall panels, typically around 1.5 inches thick, which are lighter and easier to install. These systems can perform well, but because they are thinner, they tend to experience more movement as the wood expands and contracts with temperature and humidity
changes. Over time, this can lead to small gaps at panel joints, occasionally allowing in a bit of light or a faint draft of cooler air.
More premium kits use a multi-layer construction with interior and exterior materials, along with framing and insulation in between. These thicker assemblies feel more solid and substantial, offer improved heat retention, and remain more dimensionally stable over time—resulting in tighter seams and a more consistent sauna environment.
Electric Sauna Heaters
Electric sauna heaters are the most common choice for modern sauna installations, offering consistent performance, precise temperature control, and ease of use. We work with a curated group of trusted manufacturers—including Harvia, Narvi, IKI, Huum, Saunum, Homecraft, and EOS—each known for quality construction, reliable performance, and thoughtful design rooted in strong sauna traditions.
For most projects, we recommend a select group of heater models that we know perform well across a wide range of sauna sizes and layouts. That said, if you have a specific heater in mind or have seen a model you’re interested in, we’re always happy to review it and advise whether it’s a good fit for your particular build and usage goals.
Today’s electric sauna heaters are typically paired with external digital controls, many of which include Wi-Fi connectivity for remote start and scheduling. This allows you to preheat your sauna and fine-tune your experience with precision. While this has become the standard, there are still a few limited options available for those who prefer simple, analog dial controls directly on the heater for a more traditional, straightforward user experience.
